In Book Cooks this week, Jen joined us and we got to make sushi!! After reading “Yoko”, a cute story about trying and accepting different foods from different cultures, we made sushi and learned how to write in Japanese. The children wrote their names in Hiragana, and wrote Katakana symbols on Popsicle sticks that were woven together to make a “book” (read top to bottom, right to left).
